Manchester United defender Alex Telles joins Sevilla on loan for season

Manchester United's Brazil defender Alex Telles has joined La Liga side Sevilla on a season-long loan.
Telles has been squeezed out at United after new boss Erik ten Hag signed left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and central defender Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
Sevilla will cover all of the 29-year-old's wages and are under no obligation to buy at the end of the loan deal.
Malacia is vying with Luke Shaw for the left-back slot.
That meant Telles had spent much of pre-season playing in central defence but Martinez's arrival from Ajax means he is no longer required by United.
The move should ensure Telles can play first-team football as he targets a World Cup place, having been recalled to the Brazil squad in January after a 14-month absence.
Telles joined United in 2020, signing for 15m euros (£13.6m) from Porto.
