Blues' Binnington Expected to Miss Time

According to reports, St. Louis Blues netminder Jordan Binnington will miss at least Game 4 with a knee injury.

The St. Louis Blues will be without their starting goaltender for the immediate future.

According to a report from ESPN's Emily Kaplan, St. Louis netminder Jordan Binnington suffered a knee injury during the first period of the Blues' Game 3 contest versus the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night and is expected to be sidelined through at least Monday's Game 4.

Binnington was forced to leave the game following a collision between himself, teammate Calle Rosen, and Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri, with Ville Husso then checking into the game to take over goaltending duties for the rest of the night.

The play did not look overtly malicious, at least when viewed on replay, with Rosen seemingly directing Kadri into Binnington while trying to clear the forward from the Blues' crease.

Regardless, Binnington will reportedly miss the Blues' crucial opportunity to even the series in Game 4 on Monday, with his status still unclear past then.

That wasn't the only headline Binnington made on Saturday, though.

While conducting an interview with the TNT studio panel following the game, Kadri appeared to be struck with a water bottle thrown by someone off-camera. According to The Athletic's Peter Baugh, two players he talked to confirmed that Binnington, in fact, was the one who threw the water bottle at Kadri, only fanning the flames of rivalry between the two sides following a heated contest.

The Avalanche will have to wait until at least later this week to get their revenge on Binnington for such an odd stunt -- if he even manages to make it back onto the ice at all.
